SENIOR ADVANCED MANUFACTURING ENGINEER
SOUTHFIELD, MICHIGAN – WORLD HEADQUARTERS

 

As a member of the manufacturing team, the Senior Advanced Manufacturing Engineer will be responsible for supporting cost estimation, new product launch and leading standardization and innovation initiatives.


The Role:

Your work will include, but not be limited to:

  • Developing manufacturing processes and related equipment for new electrical components (PCBAs and Box-Builds). Processes will primarily include automation, assembly, and quality control.
  • Cost estimation – new/modified business quoting.
  • Launching of new equipment for products.
  • Automation and industrialization planning.
  • Develop and maintain budgets and timelines.
  • Prepare RFQs (requests for quotation), evaluate responses, provide recommendations.
  • Develop materials for and participate in technical reviews with customers.
  • Work with Quality and Plant engineers to develop PFMEA, work instructions, and control plans.
  • Expected to be able to concept and define processes, while working with and managing integrators.
  • Willingness and ability to travel as development and launch schedules dictate.
  • Develop and implement manufacturing best practices and lessons learned from Global network.


The Hour-by-Hour Task Breakdown with percentages:

  • Developing and implementing global best practices and procedures (20%)
  • Developing manufacturing processes and cost estimations for new products (50%)
  • Interfacing with 3rd party vendors (10%)
  • Assisting with global E-Systems production issues and concerns (15%)
  • Evaluating and auditing capital expenditure forecasts (5%)

 

Your Qualifications:

  • BS Degree in a related field: Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering.
  • Development of assembly processes for electrical component products.
