Maintenance Mechanical Interns

Overview

Contribute to the attainment of St. Marks goals by providing mechanical maintenance support and assistance to the Maintenance Department.

Major Position Responsibilities

• Assist in diagnosing malfunctions on various types of mechanical equipment, determine repair methods, gather parts and make repairs.
• Assist in performing preventive maintenance tasks on a broad range of equipment based on predefined work plans.
• Assist in installing new equipment, structures and piping in support of repairs and projects.
• Assist in performing specialty craft work that might include welding, pipe fitting/fabrication, machining and non-destructive testing.
• Must be able to effectively communicate with Production, Maintenance, Engineering and other personnel on a routine basis.
• Use of ladders and climbing stairs is required

Basic Qualifications

Must be currently enrolled in related Manufacturing courses or be within 6 months of graduation
