We are currently seeking a detail-oriented and organized Post-Close Specialist to join our high-performing Operations team in Meridian, Idaho. If you thrive in a fast-paced, compliance-driven environment and love finalizing details with precision, this may be the perfect fit for you!
What You’ll Do
As a Post-Close Specialist, you’ll be responsible for ensuring that closed mortgage loans are complete, compliant, and investor-ready. You’ll work closely with loan officers, processors, title companies, and secondary marketing to guarantee that every file is delivered timely and accurately.

Key Responsibilities:
• Audit closed loan files for completeness and compliance with investor and company guidelines.
• Identify and resolve document deficiencies or missing signatures with appropriate parties.
• Prepare and deliver loan files to investors, agencies (Fannie Mae/Freddie Mac), or in-house servicing.
• Track and obtain trailing documents such as recorded mortgages, final title policies, and insurance binders.
• Maintain accurate data in LOS and other platforms, ensuring timely status updates.
• Register and transfer MERS Mortgage Identification Numbers (MINs) in accordance with investor and compliance requirements.
• Resolve MERS-related discrepancies and ensure all transfers are completed within specified timeframes.
• Insure FHA and VA loans via the FHA Connection and VA WebLGY.
• Collaborate with internal teams to resolve post-closing issues or investor suspense items.
• Support internal audits and quality control by providing documentation and responding to requests.

What You Bring
• 2+ years of mortgage experience preferred, especially in post-closing or loan operations
• Knowledge of FHA, VA, and MERS processes strongly preferred
• Familiarity with mortgage documentation, compliance, and closing processes
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to work independently and prioritize time-sensitive tasks
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
• Experience with LOS systems (such as Encompass, Byte, or similar) is a plus
• High school diploma or equivalent required; college coursework a plus
