Job Overview
The role requires ability to collaborate to develop strategy and drive execution across 3 TE Segments and 10 TE Business Units (BU). This is a key leadership role that will be an important member of the Global EH&S team and for leading high-level reviews with top leadership. We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Sr. Manager, Technical Safety to lead our organization's technical safety programs and initiatives. This role will be responsible for leading technical solution creation to safety risks throughout our enterprise and guiding the EHS and operations team to create a fully safe environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in technical safety solutions and procedures, exceptional training and leadership skills, and a passion for creating a culture of safety.
Key Responsibilities
• Develop and execute comprehensive technical safety strategies specifically tailored to manufacturing engineering operations, ensuring adherence to local, national, and international safety standards.
• Provide technical perspective on Lockout-Tagout (LOTO) procedures to control hazardous energy sources during equipment maintenance, repair, or servicing, and ensure compliance with LOTO regulations.
• Establish processes to ensure technical safety is imbedded into the design and implementation of effective machine guarding systems to minimize exposure to machinery hazards and prevent accidents.
• Assess and manage safety risks and recommend and implement automation systems, robotics, and advanced manufacturing technologies solutions to engineer safe and productive process
• Collaborate closely with the TE Center of Excellence (CoE) cross-functional teams including engineers, production managers, and health and safety officers to integrate functional machine safety measures (including Control Reliability) into the manufacturing process.
• Lead and mentor a team of safety professionals, providing technical guidance, training, and support to ensure a culture of safety awareness and compliance.
• Continuously evaluate and improve safety protocols, policies, and procedures, keeping them up to date with evolving regulations and industry best practices.
• Assist with incidents investigations accidents, or near misses, analyzing root causes and implementing corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
• Coordinate with regulatory agencies, participate in audits, and ensure all necessary permits and certifications are acquired and maintained.
What your background should look like:
• At least 7 years of relatable experience in H&S and technical safety, safety management, and implementation, with a preference for corporate or industrial settings.
• Global experience with at least 5 years of leading related teams in a global structure.
• Prior experience and knowledge in manufacturing industry strongly preferred.
• Ability to prioritize manage complexity in a fast-paced environment.
• Very Strong problem-solving skills.
• University degree in related field, engineering or equivalent.

COMPENSATION
• Competitive base salary commensurate with experience: $132,000 – 198,000 (subject to change dependent on physical location)
• Posted salary ranges are made in good faith. TE Connectivity reserves the right to adjust ranges depending on the experience/qualification of the selected candidate as well as internal and external equity.
• Total Compensation = Base Salary + Incentive(s) + Benefits
