Job Summary

The Public Safety Transporter maintains, safely operates a shuttle vehicle to provide timely transportation for colleagues that park at an off-campus location and need transportation to and from the hospital. 

Education: High School diploma or equivalent

Licensure, Certification, Registration:

• Valid driver’s license with Passenger Endorsement
• Medical Certification Card as required by the Department of Transportation.

Experience: One (1) year of relevant experience required. Experience operating public service or transportation vehicles or buses preferred.

Knowledge, Skills and Ability Requirements 

• Ability to read, write, speak and understand English
• Provides highly professional, customer service focused assistance to the HHC Community specifically colleagues that use the hospital transportation service.
• Ability to read and understand oral and written instructions, effectively communication information.
• Demonstrate a positive attitude in support of the organization’s mission, vision and values.
