Develop and conduct personal training sessions for YMCA members.

What You’ll Do
Conduct personal training sessions and fitness assessments as scheduled and provide assistance in a safe, enthusiastic, thorough, courteous, and professional manner.
- Communicate with current and potential personal training clients in a timely fashion.
- Follow YMCA of Greater Brandywine guidelines for screening personal training clients.
- Report to scheduled sessions on time and be available to provide assistance.
- Ensure that proper exercise techniques are utilized by all members.
- Report any mechanical or breakdown problems immediately to supervisor and document on maintenance logbook.
- Encourage members to wipe down vinyl seating of strength and cardiovascular equipment and benches after use during orientation and training sessions as well as general use.
- Solicit members to participate in personal training program.
- Promote a healthy lifestyle.
- Understand, follow and enforce all wellness center and staff policies.
- Participate in special events and open houses throughout the year.
- Ensure compliance with all YGBW policies and standard operating procedures.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
What You'll Need
- Possesses and maintains a personal training certification. Must be on the current list shown on the NCCA/ICE website
- Availability evenings and or early morning
- Knowledge of basic and advanced exercise principles is required
- Strong interest in health and fitness; working towards a bachelor’s degree in exercise science or
