Role Description:

At Enterprise Data Products (EDP), we aim to deliver exceptional customer experiences every day by empowering the enterprise to leverage trusted data and real-time insights through a best-in-class suite of products. In this role as Manager – Digital Product Management, the colleague will be responsible for product development of the end-to-end events management ecosystem (Hyperdrive) at Amex responsible for streaming, processing and delivering real time events for company use cases and analytics. With increasing digitization across the business, this role plays a critical part in translating product strategy and supporting the build and adoption of next-generation real-time capabilities that power business growth objectives to reach out to customers in the right moment with the right value proposition. Additionally, the Manager will support integration with Lumi (our next generation Big Data Platform)

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Own and manage the product backlog and roadmap execution, defining and prioritizing features, capabilities user stories, and acceptance criteria for real-time platform components including ingestion, streaming, processing, schema management, governance, access controls, data quality, and self-serve onboarding

  • Partner closely with engineering, platform, and Business teams to onboard and support critical enterprise use cases, translating business needs into clear product requirements

  • Drive delivery of reliable, scalable, and performant platform capabilities, working with engineering to define non-functional requirements, SLAs, resiliency, and recovery expectations for mission-critical enterprise applications

  • Support annual planning and Enterprise BID processes by providing sizing inputs, sequencing dependencies, and delivery estimates to inform prioritization and roadmap decisions

  • Partnering closely with business and technology stakeholders to define phased migration plans, minimize risk, retire legacy capabilities, and accelerate adoption of modern platform features

  • Continuously evaluate real-time data and streaming technology capabilities, staying informed on industry trends and tools, and providing recommendations to improve platform features, usability, and developer experience

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 5 years’ product owner experience in driving agile development processes to deliver new product asks and strategizing on a vision and roadmap for a technical product or platform
