The Impact You’ll Make in this Role
As an Engineer Technical Service, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by:
- Providing advanced service engineering support, including diagnosing, documenting and resolving hardware and software issues with integrated Solventum products.
- Developing documentation and training materials for service support
- Providing project leadership on New Product Introduction (NPI)/commercialization teams to support technical service readiness for new hardware/software integrated Solventum products
- Training global service providers on hardware/software troubleshooting, repair and support
- Leading the development and implementation of improvements and solutions to support service processes and tools
Your Skills and Expertise
To set you up for success in this role from day one, Solventum is looking for candidates who must have the following qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or higher (completed and verified prior to start) in mechanical or electrical engineering from an accredited institution AND of three (3) years of hardware/software experience in a private, public, government or military environment.
OR
- High School Diploma/GED AND seven (7) years of years of hardware/software experience in a private, public, government or military environment.
Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:
- Experience with Quality Management Systems (QMS) and working knowledge of ISO 13485 and/or ISO 9001 standards.
- Experience working on NPI and/or commercialization projects
- Experience providing hardware or software technical support to customers/service providers in a technical sales and/or application engineering role
- Experience developing documentation and training materials for hardware and software service support
- Experience training on hardware troubleshooting and support
- Healthcare, medical technology or medical device industry experience
- Possesses ability to effectively communicate, present and interact with customers and/or resources from both internal and external organizations
- Experience in a service support, technical support, engineering, quality, system integration, operating systems and medical device hardware and software application.
Work location:
- Hybrid Eligible (Job Duties allow for some remote work but require travel to Oakdale, MN at least 2 days per week)
Travel: May include up to 10%
