Position Summary
The Senior Manager, Marketing Communications will partner with one of Aetna’s key strategic clients to provide strategic counsel and assist in business development. You will build and maintain strong relationship with the client and serves as the main point of contact for all account-related matters. You will be expected to have a deep understanding of the health insurance industry, the client’s health benefits products, audiences and business objectives and makes sure all deliverables are consistent with the client’s vision. You will act as a top-level specialist to monitor and analyze key performance indicators related to client satisfaction, account growth, and profitability, and provides regular reports and insights to senior management. As a strategic thinker you will present new ideas to clients and exceed all project objectives, while adhering to consistency in client’s objectives and vision. You will be expected to stay updated on industry trends and market dynamics to incorporate relevant knowledge into account strategy and positioning to maintain a competitive edge. Facilitates initiatives and actions to ensure ongoing exceptional client satisfaction and retention.
What you will do
- Act as primary point of contact for client and accountable for strategic account management.
- Set expectations with clients (i.e.; when and what they will see next as part of the creative process), timing expectations, solution response expectations, and follow-up process and metrics expectations.
- Provide strategic counsel and develop a long-lasting “trusted advisor” relationship with account management team and client.
- Serve as the voice within the communications team for the client and facilitates client interaction with the project managers, designers, and writers.
- Make sure all creative deliverables align with the client’s objectives and that the creative treatments/images/messages are consistent across the client’s products.
- Review products for quality, consistency, accuracy, and advancement of the visual and verbal brand in design reviews.
- Facilitate account management, strategy, status, brainstorming, and other client meetings while demonstrating high level decision-making for individual and campaign creative strategies.
- Recommend and advises client on options and capabilities using communication best practices and channel knowledge.
- Execute regular business reviews with clients to assess their account needs, identify opportunities for improvement, and provide strategic recommendations.
- Facilitate the resolution of client account issues and concerns, serving as an escalation point for complex matters and ensuring timely and satisfactory resolutions.
- Act as a top-level specialist to monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) related to client satisfaction, account growth, and profitability, and provide regular reports and insights to senior management.
- Proactively meet with the client not only on projects, but to stay connected to the business needs and ensure an excellent working relationship.
- Anticipate problems and sees how a problem and its solution will affect other projects, people, or processes.
- Evaluate creative brief content for completeness and actionable content that will enable the creative team to create on-target deliverables for the client.
- Partner with the client to write and enhance creative brief quality and identify key messages.
- Partner with the client to develop an Account Plan identifying Tier 1 marketing and creative projects and goals, as well as expected Tier 2 and 3 needs, across a calendar year that enables resourcing, prioritization and plan to meet those needs; review and update Account Plan at set intervals across the year.
