Job Description & Requirements:

Nemours is seeking a Occupational Therapistto join our outpatient program in Deptford New Jersey. We recently completed a multi-phase hospital expansion that includes new inpatient rooms, Pediatric Intensive Care Unit and Emergency Department. Additionally, Nemours Children’s Health allows us to reach more children across the region through community-based physician services and collaborative partnerships with health and hospital systems.

Primary Job Function

Provides occupational therapy evaluations, interventions and patient/family education. Will establish and maintain appropriate documentation and communication with medical and clinical staff and outside agencies within the guidelines designated by state licensure, the department and Delaware Valley policies and procedures. Actively participates in departmental education activities in order to expand knowledge of patient populations and evidence-based practice. 


 Dual state licensure required for patient care at Nemours Children’s Hospital, Delaware based on staffing/census. 

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Occupational Therapy (OTR) is entry-level; must be eligible for DE Licensure
  • NJ State clinical license to practice 
  • Delaware State clinical license to practice must be maintained for duration of employment, regardless of program or location
  • AHA BLS/CPR certification (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation) within 6 months of employment and must be maintained for duration of employment.
  • Member of professional specialty organizations (AOTA) preferred.
  • Minimum of one (1) to three (3) years of experience preferred.
  • Pediatric experience is preferred.
