Job Description
Overview:
The role is part of the head-office FP&A team located in Universal City, Los Angeles. It resides within Universal Pictures Home Entertainment reporting into the Director, Finance. The Manager will be responsible for assisting the Director in various functions related to: 1) Airlines growth business; 2) Global TV Pacing and financial reporting 3) Cost reporting & analysis. Across these separate processes, the manager will work closely with both internal and external stakeholders and will interact with peers across the spectrum from financial analyst to CFO. External partners will include the Business Development team, TV Distribution, and Home Entertainment Global Marketing. The candidate should have a strong background in financial analytics, with intermediate to advanced Excel skills, and should display a proven history of independent and critical thinking skills.
Responsibilities:
- Track & develop key financial reporting for the Airline business.
- Streamline & integrate physical & digital TV pacing and consolidation. Manage TV pacing submission process.
- Integrate actuals into monthly accrual models and lead the monthly UPHE Physical & Digital consolidation process for the Cost P&L to ensure accurate cost tracking & financial reporting.
- Build effective business partner relationships with internal (FP&A Director, VP, & CFO) & external (Marketing, Tech Ops, Universal Studios TV Group) stakeholders to maintain accurate and transparent financial pacing.

Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Information Systems, or related field.
- Minimum 3-4 years of experience in Accounting or Finance.
- Excellent Excel, PowerPoint, and analytical skills.
- Strong attention to detail and solid critical thinking.
- Quick learner, self-starter, team player.
Eligibility Requirements:

Desired Characteristics :
- Proficient with MS Office Suite products – particularly strong Excel with experience in financial modeling. SAP, Analysis for Office, BPC, or Essbase knowledge preferred but not required.
- Solid finance and accounting skills, excellent analytical abilities, outstanding process improvement capabilities, and strong interpersonal skills.
- General understanding of accounting principles: accruals, revenue and costs recognition.
- Experience working with and mining large amounts of data and streamlining manual processes.
- Exceptional attention to detail and high standards for quality and accuracy.
- Solid organization skills and ability to prioritize multiple and competing priorities.
- Solid track record of automation & process improvements.
- Excellent communication skills and a pro-active approach to building working relationships in a matrix environment.
- Ability to plan and organize work in order to meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to effectively handle sensitive and confidential matters.
- Media/Entertainment experience.
