CDL A Boom Truck Delivery Driver Overview

As a Boom Truck Delivery Driver, you will safely drive an assigned route, interact with customers, unload deliveries, and digitally complete delivery paperwork. You will work as part of a two-person team to make these deliveries.

Responsibilities

(included, but are not limited to)

· Safely drive a commercial vehicle in compliance with all DOT regulations.

· Be a leader for job site safety by operating all equipment in accordance with local, state, and federal laws always.

· Perform Pre and Post trip inspections.

· Operate boom crane truck carefully and cautiously, practicing safe driving habits, following all DOT state and national safety regulations, standards, and road rules.

· Validate and confirm inventory loaded on the truck, compare purchase orders, confirm addresses and sign-off on delivery tickets, and ensure that routing information is obtained prior to leaving the facility.

· Conduct a job site inspection and document any existing damage to lawn, landscaping or driveway, and the location of any power lines, sprinklers, septic tanks, mailboxes, fences, etc.

· Deliver materials to assigned area as directed by the customer while prioritizing personal safety and the safety of those around you.

· Provide stellar customer service and communication to our customers and client representatives.

· Capture pictures of all building products delivered in accordance with Company Policy.

· Must report all accidents involving driver or company equipment.

· Report to work daily with a clean uniform, clean appearance, company ID badge, and CDL license daily.

Schedule

· Must be able to work a schedule that begins early in the morning and continues until the route is completed while adhering to DOT hours of service.

· Must be available to work weekends, holidays, and overtime.

Requirements

· Must be 21 years of age or older.

· Must complete a comprehensive background check, MVR, and drug screen.

· Able to obtain and maintain a DOT Medical card with Federal Standards.

· Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) and 2 years Class A Driving

Experience

· Knowledge of DOT compliance.

• Boom or Crane experience preferred.
• Truck Crane Operation Experience a plus.
• Telescopic Boom Experience a plus.
• Boom Truck - Fixed Cab Experience a plus.
• Articulating Boom Crane Experience a plus.

· Must be able to hear adequately enough to receive and understand instructions, be alerted by horns, sirens, shouting, or any other noise that is meant to convey a safety warning.

· Ability to read, write, understand, and communicate in English.

Physical Demands

· Stamina to lift heavy building materials up to 100 lbs. for continual load/unload at customer sites.

· Performing physical activities that require considerable use of your arms and legs and moving your whole body, such as climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, stooping, and handling of materials.

Work Environment

· Enclosed temperature-controlled truck cab, temperature-controlled office environment, non-temperature-controlled warehouse environment, and outdoors as applicable
