How You’ll Make an Impact
As the Global Category Manager for Logistics Procurement, your primary responsibility is overseeing the global supplier portfolio providing Logistics Services for your designated category. This involves developing and implementing a strategic category plan to optimize value for the corporation, ensuring a secure supply chain, minimizing total cost of ownership, and enhancing competitive advantage while meeting business needs.
In this role you’ll:

Manage the global supplier portfolio for assigned logistics procurement categories within a matrix organization.

Develop and execute global and multi-year category strategies to optimize total cost of ownership, quality, service, and innovation.

Source, onboard, and manage suppliers, including negotiating and executing global master supply agreements and contracts.

Lead pricing and negotiation strategies to achieve productivity and cost savings targets.

Partner with cross-functional and regional stakeholders to ensure alignment, consistency, and best practice sharing.

Apply market intelligence to educate stakeholders, mitigate risk, and enhance competitive positioning.

Drive supplier performance management and early business engagement across multiple accounts.

Report cost evolution, trends, and performance metrics to support global business objectives.

Ensure compliance with health, environmental, safety, security (HSES) standards and all corporate and procurement policies.
Required Qualifications that Enable Your Success

Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, or a related field; extensive relevant experience may be considered.

Five or more years of experience in logistics procurement and operations, including ocean, road, rail, and warehousing.

Fluency in English with strong written and verbal communication skills.

Demonstrated ability to work effectively with stakeholders at all levels in a global, matrixed environment.

Strong analytical, organizational, and negotiation skills with end-to-end sourcing lifecycle expertise.

Knowledge of regional regulatory, legal, tax, and import/export requirements.

Proficiency with Microsoft Office and procurement-related digital tools.

Advanced degree such as an MBA.

Experience with logistics procurement and operations in the chemical industry.
