Key Role:
Applies engineering physics, engineering mathematics and materials science principles to support the design, analysis, manufacture or maintenance of mechanical systems. Applies leading-edge principles, theories, and concepts and contributes to the development of new principles and concepts. Works on unusually complex problems and provides highly innovative solutions. Operates with substantial latitude for unreviewed action or decision. Mentors or supervises employees in both company and technical competencies.
Basic Qualifications:
11+ years of experience with modeling plant processes and developing fluid flow models for materials processing
Experience with industrial or facility reverse engineering and vulnerability assessment or analysis
Experience with engineering research, capability or limitation analysis, reverse engineering analysis or characterizations, and facility assessments
Experience with ANSYS, LS-DYNA, CFX, FLUENT
Experience developing or improving models associated with processing of materials to simulate fluid flow through various systems and environments
Experience analyzing and interpret simulation results to optimize performance and identify potential issues
Experience with communicating complex analyses to technical and nontechnical audiences and project management
Active TS/SCI clearance; willingness to take a polygraph exam
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Science, Technology, or Mathematics
Additional Qualifications:
Experience working with the DoD or other government agencies
Knowledge of underground facilities or hard and deeply buried targets
Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate findings into practical applications
TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph
Master’s degree in Engineering
Professional Engineering Certification

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $86,800.00 to $198,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
