Assistant Manager – Wine Shop
Full-Time | $65,000 – $72,000 (based on experience)

As an Assistant Manager, you’ll help lead the day-to-day operations of the store — driving sales, inspiring the team, and making sure every customer leaves happy. This is a hands-on role for a self-starter who loves rolling up their sleeves, solving problems, and creating a WOW experience for both customers and team members.

What You’ll Do:
• Oversee merchandising, making sure displays are fresh, full, and on-brand.
• Monitor inventory, rotate stock, and ensure pricing and signage are always accurate.
• Place orders with vendors and review sales reports to spot trends and opportunities.
• Track slow movers, category mix, and pricing strategies to maximize sales.
• Lead monthly inventories and ensure smooth product turnover.
• Stay plugged into industry trends — attend trade shows and share fresh ideas with the team.
• Hire, train, and mentor team members — and deliver timely feedback and performance chats.
• Create team schedules and ensure payroll accuracy.
• Drive a positive, respectful work environment while upholding our S.T.E.W. values.
• Make sure health, safety, and compliance standards are always met.
• Tackle challenges head-on, from customer issues to staffing needs.

What You Bring:
• 3+ years of retail or wine industry leadership experience.
• Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
• The ability to multi-task, delegate, and think on your feet.
• A hands-on, lead-by-example attitude.
• Basic computer skills — Microsoft Office, POS systems and HRIS familiarity.
• The ability to lift up to 50 lbs and be on your feet in a fast-paced environment.
