About the role

As a Sales Engineer at Exiger, you will directly influence and communicate with existing prospects to advance their status in the sales cycle. You do so by sending engaging follow-up emails, hosting software discovery/demonstration meetings, drafting customized proposals, generating ROI analyses, and sharing other engaging content. You will also provide input to marketing campaigns and assist with creating content that succeeds in attracting prospects. You will work independently and with others to progress and close targeted accounts. Closing sales and growing our business is the key indicator of success.

To be effective in this role, you will need to be able to write in a clear and succinct manner, be highly organized, and maintain detailed and accurate records. On a daily basis you will interface with prospects so you must be comfortable crafting and delivering targeted messaging through a variety of platforms; over the phone, through email, face to face, or via WebEx.  You will create custom presentation materials, host on-line and in-person software demonstrations, and tailor your pitch to satisfy client needs.

What You’ll Do:

  • Long-cycle sales growth
  • Identify, Contact, Educate, Qualify, and Commit prospects through ongoing measurable communication, web conferences, and face-to-face meetings.
  • Work with the Sales leaders to create customized proposals and ultimately close enterprise level software/service solution contracts.
  • Initiate contact with prospects by phone, email, text, and social media. Build a network of influencers and decision makers within target companies
  • Report on sales progress over the last day, week, month, and year.
  • Work with our operations team to help them increase our footprint at existing customers.
  • Assist with the development of marketing campaigns and thought leadership pieces to support the sales and market development process.
  • Work with internal and external resources to develop and place press releases, articles, OpEd pieces, and other content to help educate the market and build the Exiger brand.
  • Work with internal product development staff to help them identify and prioritize functionality that will deliver increased value to the customer based on customer feedback.
  • Participate in the development of annual sales strategies and budgeting.
  • Develop creative sales approaches that differentiate Exiger in the marketplace.
  • Monitor companies, competitors, and industries to ensure Exiger and its solution offerings are positioned to succeed in the marketplace.

What You Need:

  • 5+ years in a Sales Engineer role selling SaaS solutions
  • Demonstrable interpersonal skills, ability to write and speak clearly to accurately brief analytical findings
  • Ability to evaluate relevant material as to its importance, the ability to rely and influence decision makers
  • Strong organizational skills, including ability to prioritize and work under pressure
  • Ability to develop an understanding of domains relevant to Exiger’s capabilities 
  • Experience with supply chain or SCRM strongly preferred
  • Experience with Federal Government Sales
  • Bachelor’s degree in Sales, Marketing, Business, Supply Chain, or related field
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills (Excel, Word, Powerpoint)
  • Experience in sales and technology field  
  • Negotiation and social problem-solving skills
  • Must be a US citizen
