What this job involves:

As a Maintenance Tech at JLL, you will play a critical role in ensuring the seamless operation of hospital facilities in Sugar Land, TX. Your expertise will directly contribute to maintaining a safe, efficient, and fully operational environment for patients, staff, and visitors. This position offers an exciting opportunity to apply your technical skills across electrical, mechanical, plumbing, and HVAC systems while supporting JLL's commitment to excellence in facility management and our Partners-in-Caring culture.

 

What your day-to-day will look like:

• Perform urgent, corrective, routine, and requisitioned repairs on electrical, mechanical, and plumbing systems to maintain optimal facility operations.
• Conduct preventative maintenance on equipment and physical structures, ensuring all activities are documented and records are maintained accurately.
• Maintain and repair HVAC controls and associated equipment to maximize efficiency in all environmentally controlled areas.
• Ensure compliance with all JLL policies, procedures, and safety standards to provide a safe environment for patients, staff, and visitors.
• Manage time, supplies, and productivity effectively to meet service delivery expectations within budgetary specifications.
• Integrate the Partners-in-Caring culture in all interactions with internal and external customers.
• Serve as a mentor and resource to less experienced maintenance staff, promoting knowledge sharing and team development.

 

Required Qualifications:

• Minimum of two (2) years of experience in general building maintenance functions.
• Proven ability to read, write, and follow oral and written instructions effectively.
• Hands-on experience with electrical, mechanical, and plumbing system repairs.
• Demonstrated experience in HVAC maintenance and repair operations.
• Strong commitment to safety protocols and compliance with facility management standards.
• Ability to maintain accurate maintenance records and documentation.
• Demonstrated commitment to customer service excellence and cultural integration

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in healthcare facility maintenance operations.
• Familiarity with hospital environmental control systems and regulations.
• Basic knowledge of computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS).
• Experience serving as a preceptor or mentor to junior maintenance staff.
• Relevant technical certifications in HVAC, electrical, or plumbing systems.
• Understanding of the Partners-in-Caring process and customer-focused service delivery.
• Ability to support departmental goals that contribute to organizational success 

Location: Onsite – Sugar Land, TX

Work Shift: 7:00am to 3:30pm

Salary: $18 to $23 per hour

This position does not provide visa sponsorship. Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
