Overview
This is a full-time, 40 hour per week position. This person reports to the Director of CAC. The job oversees the office and is the first point of contact by helping with technical assistance to child care providers and parents looking for childcare who contact. Purchases office equipment and materials as approved by the department, reconciliation in the University accounting system.
Responsibilities
- Maintain records, database, and information in compliance with state Office of Child Care program plan
- Prepare quarterly and annual reports as required by the funding agency.
- Give technical assistance to help providers keep the data base up-to-date.
- Assist providers in navigating the database.
- Manage complex functions of office, including secretarial, receptionist, and phone duties.
- Maintain office supplies and child care provider materials.
- Oversee sending out publications and other information as assigned.
- Maintain a record of and make department approved purchases.
- Participate in yearly conference planning and implementation. Participate in other projects and assignments as they arise.
- Attend job related trainings, some travel required
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
Four years of experience; or an associate degree/technical training plus two years of experience; or a bachelor’s degree is required.
- Must pass annual background check.
Preferred Qualifications:
- 2 years paid experience with data input and creating reports with data
- 2 years paid experience with computers and computer software applications
- Early Childhood background and business education
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Accurate data entry skills and organizational skills.
- Effective written, interpersonal, and oral communication skills.
- Ability to problem solve and work cooperatively with fellow staff members.

Employees work indoors and are protected from weather and/or contaminants, but not, necessarily, occasional temperature changes. The employee is regularly required to sit and often uses repetitive hand motions.
