The Senior Manager, Warehouse and Distribution is responsible for overseeing all aspects of warehouse and distribution operations. This role includes managing inventory, optimizing processes, ensuring timely shipments, and supervising a team of warehouse personnel. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining the efficiency and effectiveness of our supply chain.
Responsibilities and DutiesWarehouse Operations:
- Oversee the day-to-day warehouse activities, including receiving, storing, and shipping goods.
- Organize and manage the warehouse, creating clear systems to track and manage all inventory parts. Arrange the warehouse in a logical way to reduce travel, touches and labor movement.
- Implement and enforce safety protocols to maintain a safe working environment.
- Coordinate internal logistics for finished goods from the production floor to the distribution center. Manage product clearance, holding, and inventory management during the interim period prior to receipt by the distribution center.
- Perform processes and systems testing and tracks performance by area to locate and solve problems in data integrity, productivity, and efficiency.
- Investigative nature to identify potential issues that would negatively affect the inventory, production, and distribution processes.
- Investigate and correct discrepancies in reported quantities and locations of inventory.
Inventory Management:
- Maintain accurate inventory records and implement inventory control procedures.
- Monitor stock levels and reorder points to prevent stock outs and excess inventory.
- Conduct regular inventory audits to ensure accuracy.
- Plan, organize and lead physical inventory counts.
- Perform root cause and reconciliation from data analysis after counts have been completed and implement corrective actions and procedures.
Order Fulfillment:
- Manage the order fulfillment process to ensure on-time and accurate shipments.
- Collaborate with the sales and customer service teams to prioritize and fulfill customer orders within SLA. Develop good processes and systems inclusive of shipping software.
- Optimize cost reductions based upon the multiple variables present in the fulfillment process.
- Negotiate with shipping vendors and manage overall outbound spend.
Logistics and Distribution:
- Optimize distribution to ensure timely deliveries at the lowest transportation cost.
- Primary point of contact for third-party carriers and logistics partners to manage outbound shipments.
- Track and report on key performance metrics related to distribution.
Team Management:
- Lead and mentor warehouse & OF staff, including supervisors and associates.
- Set clear performance goals and expectations, conduct performance evaluations, and provide regular feedback.
- Ensure proper training and development of warehouse personnel.
- Prepare annual budget and adjust to the ever-changing business climate keeping variable departmental expenses within budget.
- Organize, assemble, palletize and manage inventory raw material kits to be used for production and manage inventory of materials not consumed within production runs.
- Organize and palletize packaging component kits for packaging team
- Ensure all materials used in production are properly depleted from inventory and excess materials that are not consumed are properly added back into inventory.

- Continuously review and enhance warehouse and distribution processes for efficiency and effectiveness.
