Staff Accountant

Marshall Health Network Finance is seeking a full time Staff Accountant.  Under the supervision of the Accounting Manager or authorized designee, the Staff Accountant performs accounting duties including preparing and entering journal entries in general ledger, analyzing various general ledger accounts, reconciliation of various bank accounts, providing support to department managers during the budgeting process, and participating in reimbursement activities.  Accounting duties relate to Marshall Health Network and its affiliates.

Qualifications

EDUCATION:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field required.

           

EXPERIENCE:

Should have a minimum of two years accounting experience, preferably in a Medical Center setting.  Computer experience required.

 

SKILLS:

Should have good working knowledge of accounting records, basic mathematical calculations and general office procedures.  Current knowledge of Medicare and Medicaid reimbursement regulations helpful.  Good communication skills necessary.
