We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Part-Time Regional Visually Impaired Teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide specialized instruction and support to students with visual impairments, ensuring they have access to a quality education and the necessary resources to thrive.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with visual impairments.
- Provide direct instruction in academic subjects, using adaptive techniques and materials.
- Collaborate with classroom teachers, parents, and other professionals to support student learning and development.
- Conduct assessments to evaluate student progress and adjust teaching strategies as needed.
- Advocate for the needs of visually impaired students within the school and community.
- Stay current with best practices and advancements in the field of visual impairment education.

Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Special Education, Visual Impairment, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
- Valid teaching certification in Special Education Visual Impairment.
- Experience working with students with visual impairments is highly desirable.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse team of educators and support staff.
- Knowledge of assistive technology and adaptive teaching methods.
