The Senior Staff Medical & Scientific Affairs Liaison – Neurological Diseases drives important initiatives in KOL engagement, advisory boards, research, publications, medical education, and field intelligence between our Neurological Diseases MSA team and the academic/non-academic Neurological Disease community. This is a vital role that requires a blend of strategic understanding and expertise in Medical Affairs/Clinical Affairs to foster advancements in Neurological Diseases diagnostics and support the medical community. Primary responsibilities include developing and cultivating strong relationships with key opinion leaders (KOLs) and healthcare professionals, identifying unmet needs/scientific gaps in medical research and clinical practice paradigms, and cross functional collaboration with internal partners to deliver field and medical insights. You will participate in and/or drive special projects including: voice of customer events, physician initiated clinical studies, internal and external education, and publication planning and execution. Your primary objective will be to bridge the gap between Beckman Coulter and our Neurological Diseases customers by maintaining detailed knowledge of our product platforms, understanding business and strategy objectives and goals, and staying updated on current literature and data in the Neurological Diseases space.
 

This position reports to the Sr. Director, Medical & Scientific Affairs – Neurological Diseases and is part of the Medical & Scientific Affairs organization, a team of medical specialists dedicated to all medical aspects of safe and effective therapeutic areas. The Beckman Neurological Diseases RUO test portfolio enables researchers to advance Neurological Diseases area knowledge.

  

This role may be fully remote in designated territory, working remotely to cover a global business area. Beckman Coulter has a major site presence in South Florida, Southern California, Hebron Kentucky, and Minneapolis Minnesota, as well as major hubs in Europe and Asia.  The targeted territory for this role is Eastern / Midwestern US. 

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

Strategic Engagement Support

  • Support development and implementation of strategic engagement plans to build relationships with KOLs, neurologists, neuroscientists, and medical societies in the Neurological Disease field

Clinical Research & Training

  • Assist with clinical studies and research initiatives, provide scientific and technical expertise, maintain communication with KOLs and authors, and train MSL team on research funnel opportunities

Scientific Communication & Education

  • Act as a scientific authority in Neurological Disease, delivering education to internal and external collaborators and streamlining complex scientific information for the broader MSL organization

External Representation & Insights

  • Stay current on Neurological Disease research and trends, prepare materials for presentations, and participate in scientific symposia, conferences, and educational programs
