This individual will lead a team of off shift operation supervisors (2nd and 3rd shifts). They will be responsible for safety, people, quality, delivery and cost metrics.

2nd shift works from 3:00PM -11:30 PM

What You Will Do:

  • Oversees production operations (shop floor management, workforce management, and flow disruption management).

  • Manages and supervises the work of manufacturing production disciplines in the Operations function to achieve established targets for on-time delivery.

  • Establishes performance objectives and leads cell performance and productivity.

  • Ensure optimal use of resources and adherence to best safety practices for a safe work environment and culture.

  • Ensure all quality related items are complete and documented so that established quality standards are met. 

  • Directs cost reduction and process improvement to ensure efficiency of operations and cost effectiveness.

  •  Responsible for leading and ensuring the team’s behaviors meet our culture vision- employee engagement, positive culture, empowerment, inclusiveness, and open communication.

  • Maintains compliance to all regulations and company policies.

  •  Ensures that all non-conforming, non- standard conditions, and issues have the appropriate RCCA to ensure containment, correction, and resolution.

  • Manages the operational team’s macro plan that plans and manages the key actions that need to happen during the fiscal year to meet the team’s operational goals and commitments.

  • Leads the implementation of lean manufacturing principles across the work cells to ensure visual management, standard work, 5S, and layout flow and linkage.

  • Collaborates and influences across multiple disciplines and levels of the organization to meet goals and make improvements.

  • Lead and participate in projects, continuous improvement initiatives that support organizational objectives.

  • Coach and mentor direct and indirect reports for development.

  • Conduct analysis and prepare reports as necessary on operational status, projects, and process improvements.

  • Must be willing and able to travel up to 15% of the time

Qualifications You Must Have:

  • Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 10 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 7 years of experience

  • U.S. Person (U.S. citizen, permanent resident, or granted refugee or asylee status) as definedhttps://www.ecfr.gov/current/title-22/chapter-I/subchapter-M/part-120/subpart-C/section-120.62

  • 3+ years of hands-on experience in a manufacturing/production floor environment

  • 3+ years experience with Lean Manufacturing

  • Experienced with Microsoft Office Products


Qualifications We Prefer:

  • Master's degree/MBA

  • Prior leadership experience with direct and/or indirect reports

  • Experience with Kaizen events or with a continuous improvement program (CORE)

  • Prior composites/metal bond experience within a manufacturing environment

  • Prior aerospace mechanical assembly experience within a manufacturing environment

  • Working knowledge of Solumina
