Enterprise Cybersecurity Summer Intern

Join us in summer 2024 and we will work together to give you a meaningful and challenging experience in your specialty. You'll be paired with a mentor and collaborate with our staff on real solutions to hard problems related to national security.

The Enterprise Cybersecurity team focuses on threats to STR, which includes prevention, detection, and remediation. You will be working with a team of geographically distributed analysts to help improve our capabilities, while learning about how an enterprise handles cyber threats.

Responsibilities:

• Work with enterprise cybersecurity team to triage alerts
• Work with end users to resolve issues or questions related to cybersecurity
• Collaborate with IT Team

Additional assignments and areas for professional growth and development include:

• Learning and understanding SIEM queries
• Updating and generating internal or user processes and documentation
• Creation of applications and scripts to integrate existing IT security tools

Requirements:

• Attending a post-secondary educational institution with a major in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related field
• Strong academic record and interest in cybersecurity
• Strong personal interest in the Information Technology and Cybersecurity areas
• Self-starter with ability to work independently

Any of these are even better:

• Previous club, volunteer, or work experience in cybersecurity
• Programming experience
• Strong oral and written communications skills
