Base pay is influenced by several factors including a candidate’s qualifications, relevant experience, and anticipated contributions to meet the needs of the business, along with internal pay equity and external market driven rates. The salary range displayed has not been adjusted for geographical location. Responsible for leading, managing and growing Individual, QSERA, and ICHRA business strategy both internally and with Capital’s licensed local producer agencies and large national consulting houses. Champion innovative programs within Capital based on market intelligence gathered through these strategic producer relationships. The role is also responsible to manage the overall administration of Capital’s QSERA and ICHRA strategy (Vendors, E&B, Producers, Product Strategy) and proactively develop relationships to encourage sales of Capital Individual accounts, QSEHRAs, ICHRAs, products, and services. Proactively supports corporate priorities and sales organization objectives in the market with the producer community.

Responsibilities and Qualifications

  • With a working understanding of the corporate culture and business profiles of assigned local producer agencies and national consulting houses, identify mutually beneficial strategic Individual Accounts (QSEHRA/ICHRA) growth opportunities that align with Capital’s corporate priorities.
  • Develop, coordinate, and improve on the QSEHRA and ICHRA distribution strategy with all internal/external partners.
  • Develop strong relationships with internal business partners to lead with QSEHRA and ICHRA solutions maximize employer and producer satisfaction, profitable growth and earnings targets.
  • Coordinate educational opportunities and communication plan for assigned producers to enhance their understanding of Capital’s QSEHRA/ICHRA market capabilities and programs.
  • Gather market intelligence from assigned local producer agencies and national consulting houses. Proactively share that information internally across all business segments and direct recommendations for process innovations and improvements.
  • Actively participates in community activities and producer events to maintain visibility.
  • Participates in and successfully completes corporate training requirements.

Knowledge:

  • Comprehensive knowledge of the healthcare industry, local market, the competition including their products, capabilities, as well as key differentiators.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of insurance products and the applicability of state/federal regulations to the sale of health insurance.
  • Comprehensive understanding of the health insurance industry and financial funding/rating arrangements and underwriting guidelines.
  • Working knowledge of the administrative procedures required to input marketing, rating and membership information.
  • Working knowledge of provider reimbursement strategies across the industry.
  • General understanding of claims processing, account administration, legal and regulatory issues.

Experience:

  • 5 years' experience in the health care industry.

Education and Certifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or additional equivalent work experience.
  • Must be licensed in Pennsylvania to sell Health Insurance or willing to obtain license within 90 days.
