Data Scraping/Data Append Specialist

This is a remote position.

Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and tech-savvy Data Scraping and Data Append Specialist to support our sales and marketing teams by researching, collecting, and enriching sales lead information. In this role, you will use data scraping techniques, research tools, and automated processes to identify and compile accurate, up-to-date information on potential clients within the nonprofit and higher education sectors. Your work will directly contribute to our lead generation efforts, empowering the sales and marketing teams to engage with the right prospects more effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

Data Collection and Scraping

• Utilize data scraping tools, techniques, and scripts to collect prospect information from various sources, including websites, social media platforms, and industry directories.
  

• Conduct mass research to verify and supplement scraped data, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
  

• Identify new data sources to continuously expand the pool of potential leads.
  

Data Appending and Enrichment

• Append missing or incomplete information to existing lead records, such as contact details, organization size, industry focus, and decision-maker roles.
  

• Collaborate with the sales and marketing teams to define the criteria for lead qualification and enrichment.
  

• Cross-reference data from multiple sources to ensure consistency and reliability.
  

Analysis and Reporting

• Provide regular updates to the sales and marketing team on the volume and quality of newly collected and enriched leads.
  

• Track the performance of data enrichment efforts to identify trends and areas for improvement.
  

• Generate reports on lead coverage and gaps, helping prioritize future data collection efforts.
  

A Typical Day in the Role:

While each day may vary, here are some examples of tasks you can expect to work on in this role: 

• Use contact databases to source individuals that our team is targeting for a new product release 
  

• Utilize Clay, Apollo or a similar service to enrich the contact details with validated email addresses 
  

• Pull stale and unworked leads from the CRM. Upload those leads to Clay, Apollo or a similar service to ensure the information is up to date. Pass the updated information back into our CRM.
  

• Enrich lists from our sales and marketing teams in mass to ensure they include our required sales qualifying information. Ensure those leads are added to the CRM and receive outreach.
  

Requirements

Qualifications:

Required Skills and Experience

• Proven experience in data scraping, data mining, or similar roles involving data collection and enrichment.
  

• Familiarity with data scraping tools and techniques (e.g., Apollo, Clay, RapidAPI, etc).
  

• Strong research skills with the ability to locate and verify information from a variety of online sources.
  

• Experience working with CRMs (e.g.HubSpot) and managing large datasets.
  

• Proficiency in Excel or Google Sheets for data cleaning and analysis.
  

Preferred Skills

• Basic programming knowledge (e.g., Python, JavaScript) to create or modify scraping scripts.
  

• Understanding of sales processes and lead qualification criteria.
  

• Knowledge of the nonprofit or fundraising sectors is a plus.
