Title: Converting Operator
Department: Shrink - Converting
Status: Full-Time, Non-Exempt (Hourly) Graveyard 6pm-6am
Position Purpose: Operates, maintains, and controls the production equipment and process on the production floor to produce a high-quality finished hand wrap or machine wrap roll in a safe and productive manner to efficiently service customer orders by performing the following duties.

Principle Accountabilities
1. Provide leadership and direction during assigned shift to ensure the safe and efficient use of equipment, employees, and materials.
2. Supervising, coaching, and training employees.
3. Upholding and enforcing company rules.
4. Maintaining open communication with both reports and other members of management.
5. Strengthen and improve safety in the plant.
6. Maintain a clean work environment.
7. When needed, working in an operator capacity
8. Other duties assigned by the Converting Supervisor and/or Production Manager.

• Ability to exhibit leadership, reasoning, problem solving, and decision-making skills
• Ability to work independently with limited supervision
• Ability to work with others
• Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing
• Ability to follow written and oral instructions
• Ability to perform basic math and computer skills
• Ability to perform mechanical troubleshooting
• Ability to regularly lift 50 pounds independently
• No formal disciplinary action regarding safety or quality in the last 90 days
