Responsibilities
Peraton is seeking a high-energy, dynamic, and visionary leader to serve as Vice President of Growth for our Citizen Security and Public Services Sector. This person will lead a team of business development and capture efforts by driving transformative growth strategies that expand our footprint within the Civilian, Financial and Regulatory, National Security, Public Safety and State and Local markets. This executive will be responsible for executing disruptive initiatives, cultivating strategic relationships, and delivering unmatched value to our government and industry partners.
The successful candidate is responsible for leading a team of business development, capture, and technical solution professionals in the identification, development, qualification, and capture of new opportunities as well as supporting on-going business re-competes. The VP of Growth, CS&PS will not only lead and develop a team of Growth professionals but also meet customers and partners and actively participate in key captures and proposals. The successful candidate will have a passion for winning and proven experience leading BD and capture teams as well as experience in the identification and qualification of large opportunities, excellent industry/customer knowledge, a demonstrated track record of success leading large capture and growth initiatives, and proven success in winning and executing large and complex solutions opportunities.
This position will be based in Reston, Virginia with an expectation that the successful candidate will travel to customer locations that span the continental US.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement bold, high-tempo growth strategies that expand Peraton's market share across CS&PS accounts
- Lead and inspire a team to achieve growth goals, leveraging innovative approaches and best-in-class tools to deliver on the company’s vision.
- Serve as a leader within CS&PS and partner within the sector and across Peraton to build winning opportunities
- Act as a catalyst for innovation, implementing cutting-edge solutions, introducing commercial offerings, and disrupting conventional paradigms within the government technology space.
- Build, enhance, and sustain strong, trust-based relationships with key government decision-makers, policymakers, and industry stakeholders. Leverage these networks to identify and secure strategic opportunities.
- Proactively develop professional and meaningful relationships with the Sector executives and functional team leads to include Contracts, Finance, and HR to support growth of the overall pipeline and provide top level support to the capture activities for large business pursuits.
- Continually maintain a deep understanding of competitive intelligence and market analysis to provide the customer, or potential customer, with a thorough view of our offerings, in-depth competitor knowledge, and market awareness.
- Create, guide and oversee the development of innovative strategies and tactical actions that result in a robust pipeline of qualified and actionable opportunities in the Federal Civilian and State and Local markets. Proven track record of creating an opportunity pipeline that resulted in winning large scale new programs ($250M+) within the market
- Lead business development activities associated with identification, qualification, capture, and bid activities including defining win strategies, creating teaming plans, and identifying competitive discriminators
- Envision the interfaces, interdependencies, and activities between multiple programs and captures at the line of business and/or capability portfolio level
- Lead with vision and authenticity, mentoring future leaders and cultivating a high-performing, values-driven team culture.
- Drive accountability and a high-performance culture across all levels of the organization

Qualifications
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree and at least 20 years of experience, with at least 10 years in progressive government contracting sales roles.
- Demonstrated success in leading growth initiatives and securing large-scale, complex contracts in government.
- Extensive network of high-level government officials, policymakers, and industry executives with a reputation for building lasting partnerships.
