Accounts Payable Lead

The Accounts Payable Lead will provide team leadership and senior accounts payables support to multiple branches within the Western Region.
*Salary starts at $70k+ annuallyPay is negotiable based on experience, education, and additional certifications.

Job Responsibilities:

• Manage the high-volume AP shared email inbox
• Receive and distribute incoming accounts payable invoices for approval
• Prepare and process invoices in Deltek Vision, accurately and timely manner while adhering to departmental procedures
• Manage the pending approved accounts payable
• Prepare and process bi-weekly and on-the-spot vendor checks
• Monitor and track aging accounts payables
• Generate reports detailing accounts payables status
• Oversee a high volume of invoices monthly 500+
• Review and verify Vendor Statements as needed
• Enter and maintain new Vendor accounts
• Maintain subcontractor agreements and ACH info
• Manage and withhold taxes for specific invoices
• Identify and resolve any discrepancies between invoices and payables outstanding
• Issue payment adjustments, refunds, and credits to customer accounts as needed
• Maintain accurate and current 1099 vendor files and W-9s
• Manage and reconcile multiple credit card accounts
• Renew business licenses for branches within the region.
• Understands compliance issues around accounts payable processes (W-9, COI, license, etc.)
• Assist with audit preparations and specials requests
• Collaborate and implement new polices and procedures with Direct Supervisor
• Other job duties as assigned by Direct Supervisor

Required Qualifications:

• High School Diploma/GED
• Valid Driver's License, with an acceptable driving record
• 5+ years of experience in Accounts Payable; preferably in a senior AP or lead role.
• Detail-oriented, with excellent organizational and time management skills
• Professional etiquette and excellent customer service skills (written and verbal)
• Ability to effectively communicate information to and work with all levels of the organization
• Strong analytical and investigative skills, with the a high sense of urgency to addressing discrepancies
• Excellent problem-solving skills, with a strong level of commitment to accuracy and eagerness for resolving errors and problems.
• Ability to be helpful and informative, and work in a team-oriented environment
• Ability to follow and retain instructions and learn new tasks quickly
• Excellent understanding of MS Office programs, including Word and Excel

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in the AEC (architecture, engineering, construction) industry strongly preferred.
• Experience with Deltek Vision.
• Prevailing Wage and State specific compliance experience a plus!
