Hiring Salary: $4,558.44 - $6,220.86/Monthly 

JOB SUMMARY/ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:  The Operations Manager provides financial oversight in the Department of Medicine by monitoring, analyzing, and tracking fiscal and human resources commitments and budgets. This position provides oversight of departmental personnel and hiring functions.

 

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Provides oversight of personnel and hiring functions; assists in staff hiring and faculty recruitment process.
  2. Manages and directs the department’s operational relationship with hospitals and practice plan partners.
  3. Reviews all faculty documentation for accuracy.
  4. Maintains library of all departmental position descriptions, internal approval forms for faculty and corresponding position numbers, and associated salary ranges.
  5. Serves as liaison between HR and hiring manager to facilitate application review, interview process, and documentation of selected candidates.
  6. Analyzes and develops appropriate tracking systems for yearly and multi-year faculty commitments (startup accounts, F&A departmental funds, departmental allowances).
  7. Oversees monthly reconciliation of accounts; develops yearly budgets and probable for recurring state accounts.
  8. Provides management and oversight by monitoring financial systems and approving invoices, travel, and procurement card statements.
  9. Manages inventory reporting, space allocations and audits, and internal reviews reporting.
  10. Performs other duties as required.    
 

Qualifications

 

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:  

EDUCATION:  Bachelor’s Degree. (TRANSCRIPT REQUIRED)

EXPERIENCE: Two (2) years of related experience; OR Master’s Degree lieu of experience. 

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Knowledge of or ability to learn DASH.
  • Ability to multi-task and adhere to deadlines under pressure.
  • Excellent interpersonal relationship and problem-solving skills.
  • Must be organized, a self-starter, and exhibit leadership qualities.

WORK SCHEDULE: This position may occasionally be required to work weekends and evenings. May require occasional overnight travel.
