Job Description:
The Senior IT Data/Database Analyst position will be responsible for managing and analyzing large datasets to derive meaningful insights that drive business decisions and strategies. This role will involve working closely with cross-functional teams to identify data requirements, develop data models, and implement data-driven solutions. This position will also play a key role in ensuring data quality, integrity, and security throughout the organization.

Examples of Work
Data Analysis and Interpretation:
• Identify, collect, and analyze structured and unstructured data from various sources.
• Analyze and troubleshoot complex queries.
• Develop data visualizations, reports, and dashboards.
Data Modelling and Database Management:
• Design and Implement data models, schemas, and database structures to support efficient data storage and retrieval.
• Optimize database performance and ensure data integrity and security.
• Applying Oracle patches and updates to keep the database up-to-date and secure.
• Installing, configuring, and upgrading Oracle APEX applications.
• Installing, configuring, and upgrading Oracle software and related products.
Data Integration and ETL:
• Collaborate with IT teams to define data integration requirements and design Extract, Transfer, Load (ETL) processes.
• Extract data from multiple sources, transform and cleanse it, and load it into target systems.
• Develop and maintain data integration workflows and automation scripts.
General Duties:
• Consults with end users, peers, and management on data/database issues.
• Assists and mentors peers and subordinates.
Requirements / Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications: Associate Degree in Computer Science/IT and three years related experience, two of which must be as Data/Database Analyst.
Preferred Qualifications: experience with Oracle Database development, Oracle Application Express, (APEX) Experience, and knowledge of Nebraska Tax Programs.
