About the Role:
We are looking for a team lead who is passionate about developing new and innovative processes to drive operational excellence in collections. Our priority is to quickly collect on our AR (accounts receivable), increase free cash flow, improve customer experience and establish payment collection goals and targets.
The Collections Team Leader must be strategic and detail-oriented, have strong accounting and finance skills, robust interpersonal and influencing skills, strong organizational and project management skills, and the ability to gather business and technical requirements across global teams to drive systems and change management processes. This person will need to roll up his/her sleeves, work independently, and have an extremely high level of ownership and ability to dive deep.

Responsibilities:
- Manage the performance of the Collections Team and provide timely feedback.
- Oversee collections and work closely with the cash operations / disputes team to offer a seamless payment experience for the customer
- Train and mentor the Collections Team to continuously drive process improvements.
- Review client accounts on an ongoing basis to assess overdue invoices
- Lead process projects to drive long-term, scalable solutions.
- Establish and track the relevant metrics and dashboards for the team to drive visibility and improvement
- Identify issues, monitor performance, and assist in problem resolution.
- Prepare financial and statistical reports to the controller, COO, and the accountants.
- Communicate well and influence colleagues.
- Demonstrate leadership and gain respect across functions/teams.
Requirements:
- 4+ years of experience in accounting, finance, Accounts Receivable, and/or strategy experience
- 2+ years people management experience
- Proven track record of making data-driven business decisions
- Outstanding data analysis skills
- Can demonstrate attention to detail
- Team Player
- Able to work in a very fast paced environment and meet deadlines
- Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word), G-Suite, Salesforce (preferred)
Preferred Qualifications:
- Proven track record of taking end-to-end ownership and driving results
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects - work prioritization, planning, task delegation, and coordination across functional teams
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, and must be comfortable engaging with business partners and leadership
- Must be comfortable and effective when leading a group discussion such as training sessions, gathering feedback and facilitating team meetings.
- 100% remote and must be able to work in Pacific / Eastern Standard Time zone
