POSITION SUMMARY:

As a Sr. Transportation Coordinator, you’ll ensure the timely booking of outbound international freight in accordance and communication with affiliate delivery demands, corporate sales targets, and product supply availability.  You’ll work cross-functionally with our corporate supply chain and intermarket members, lead accounting, 3rd party carriers, Nestlé Purina Distribution centers, production plants, and customer distribution centers to ensure products are delivered to meet customer demand.

• Submit AES (automatic export system) filing with CBP
• Preparing necessary documents and complete customs clearance procedures
• Manage shipment exceptions and troubleshoot issues as they arise
• Ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations

• Conduct financial procedures and operating metrics (Detention management, automation objectives, expedite decisions, etc.)
• Contact carrier to obtain status of load-tendered; continue monitoring the shipment via provided systems for on-time pick-up, transit, and delivery
• Notify appropriate groups of any ocean transportation related issues, and work with Intermarket to resolve issues maintaining affiliate satisfaction and on time delivery
• Ensure the proper appointment schedule based on the booking confirmation of ocean carriers.
• Manage returns in collaboration with the Accounting Lead as well as QA.

Requirements:

• Bachelors degree with 3+ years of freight forwarding experience OR High School diploma with 5+ years of freight forwarding experience  

 

Other:

• Experience working with Web-based Systems:  SAP, Cargoo, Microsoft Excel is preferred
• Knowledge and understanding of international trade regulations, customs processes, and documentation requirements is preferred

The approximate pay range for this position is $45,000 to $65,000. Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting. Final compensation may vary based on factors including but not limited to knowledge, skills and abilities as well as geographic location.
