Hybrid Role: Must be able to come on-site periodically and reside a commutable distance from the assigned work location.
Emergency Response: Yes – Must be available to perform a primary assignment in support of DTE’s emergency response to storms or other events that impact service to our customers.
Job Summary
Supervises a group of professional employees and leads collaborative strategic and analytic efforts within the company. Plans, implements, and oversees activities regarding project and program metrics and analysis. Leads and manages the communications to management and senior leadership related to scorecards, reports, projects, and larger assignments. Leads and participates in implementation of new reporting and analytical strategies to move the business towards a more efficient and effective culture. Span of control: Leads a team of professional/technical individuals and/or less than 4 leaders.
Key Accountabilities
- Leads a team responsible for querying, analyzing, and reporting data using computer software, analytical tools, and presentations. Performs or ensures the accomplishment of the following core supervisory/management functions for the group: planning, organizing, directing the performance of ongoing activities and special assignments, staffing (employee selection, training/coaching and performance management), time-entry, coordinating, reporting and budgeting.
- Leads strategy and implementation of new processes driven by data analytics and continuous improvement tools.
- Leads the effort to create and enhance dashboards/reports for business and operation teams related to project performance and project oversight
- Collaborates with business partners and leaders to identify key metrics and business scorecards that align with business strategies and help to drive decisions that are accurate and updated timely. Manages data analysis projects including Operational Review (ORM), Efficiency Saving reports, financial reports, and various other ad-hoc reports.
- Works with all business groups in developing process standardization and uniformity related to metrics; Documents process requirements and develops standard work instructions. Provides training to key stakeholders on the use of analytics and basic report/scorecard measurements.
- Identifies and prioritizes product and service improvement opportunities and creates plans for implementation.
- Performs complex data research and analysis to support business operation decisions.
Minimum Education & Experience Requirements
Bachelor's degree and (5) five years of job-related experience in data management, business operational support role or strategy (e.g., operations roles that drive business initiatives and strategy, such as Operations/Data Analysts or Strategists) and includes one (1) year of experience in a formal or informal leadership role (e.g., functional/organizational responsibility, project management, or strategic initiative, etc.)

- Communicates effectively (verbally and in writing) with individuals at all levels, inside and outside the organization.
- Analytical and problem-solving skills consistent with the ability to identify key issues from abroad range of alternatives and recommend optimal solutions for various situations.
- Ability to apply project planning and implementation and/or continuous improvement principles to affect tangible, positive outcomes.
