The Space Dynamics Laboratory (SDL) is seeking a mid- to senior-career, highly skilled Proliferated Warfighter Space Architecture (PWSA) Integrator responsible for augmenting a diverse technical team within the Space Development Agency (SDA). Candidates should possess familiarity in three or more of the following areas:
- SDA Tracking and Transport Layer Concept of Operations (CONOPS)
- On-orbit checkout and demonstration of novel spacecraft designs
- Spacecraft Mission Integration and Operational Acceptance Testing
- Missile Warning/Missile Track/Missile Defense domain expertise
- Experience in operationalizing new technologies for the Warfighter
Responsibilities will include:
- Advises on-orbit checkout and demonstration of missile tracking constellations and data transport technologies
- Assists in anomaly resolution, risk management, mission planning, and other processes
- Coordinates inter-Department demonstrations of system capabilities, providing empirical data and lessons-learned to reduce risk for subsequent systems
- Provides input to experiment plans, as required, to support on-orbit sensor operations
- Engages mission stakeholders to enable integrated test and evaluation planning with United States Space Force (USSF) test units, DoD oversight organizations, and Combatant Commands
- Identifies key sensor parameter changes that could support follow-on generations of satellites and sensors to accomplish USSF and SDA objectives
- Works with cross-disciplinary teams on multiple complex space projects
- Reduces mission concepts to fundamental elements that can be expressed as requirements
- Briefs senior leadership on complex technical issues
Required Qualifications:
- Master’s Degree in related field
- 15 years’ experience in DoD and/or Acquisition
- Demonstrated Functional Knowledge of small satellite constellations
- Demonstrated success working with and collaborating with teams of engineers
- Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, with program management, customers, contractors, and colleagues
- Must have an active DoD Secret security clearance and ability to obtain a DoD TS/SCI security clearance
- Must be a US citizen
- Must be able to travel occasionally to contractor and customer facilities
Preferred Qualifications:
- Knowledge of Missile Defense Enterprise and Legacy Systems
- Knowledge of PWSA ground and space architectures
- Experience supporting system level testing and verification
- Experience leading an Integration & Test Team (I&TT)
- Military experience preferred
