Summary:
The part-time Research/Teaching Assistant is a versatile and impact-oriented professional with experience conducting applied research on corporate responsibility, consumer harm, and sustainability. The Research Assistant is skilled in translating academic insights into actionable strategies, including publishing in peer-reviewed journals (e.g., HBR), developing case studies, and crafting materials for business stakeholders such as investors and accelerators. The Research/Teaching Assistant has a demonstrated ability to support academic program leadership through curriculum development, student engagement, and operational logistics and is passionate about bridging research and practice to launch purpose-driven ventures and promote accountability in consumer goods industries.
Essential Functions:
Applied Research: Conduct applied research based on Dr. Anderson’s work, including the study: “Who’s Responsible for Products with Addictive and Harmful Substances: Energy Drinks and Corporate Responsibility. Contribute to the development of a marketing plan to launch a business grounded in academic research.
Scholarly Publishing & Knowledge Translation: Draft, edit, and submit articles to leading, peer reviewed business journals (HBR and others). Develop and publish a Case Study demonstrating how to turn academic insights into a start-up or entrepreneurial venture.
Research Translation & Corporate Accountability Analysis: Translate academic findings into materials for business audiences, including investors and accelerators. Monitor developments in corporate responsibility and product harm, with a focus on accountability in consumer goods.
Academic Program & Curriculum Support: Support Dr. Anderson in her role as Director of the MS in Sustainability Management program and assist with curriculum development, student engagement initiatives, and advising activities. Provide logistical support for course delivery, including updates to Canvas, scheduling, and meeting coordination. Help prepare agenda and materials for the Kogod School of Business’s Sustainability Advisory Council (SAC) meetings in Fall and Spring. Design and facilitate classroom activities and student discussions on key sustainability topics.

Part time.
Non-Exempt.
20 hours per week.
This is a temporary position scheduled to end on or before 12/31/2025.
Salary Range:
$18.50/hour.
Required Education and Experience:
Master's degree or equivalent.
1-3 years of relevant experience.
Preferred Education and Experience:
Master's degree.
2-4 years of relevant experience.
