The Senior Manufacturing Engineer will be responsible for all detailed processes in connection with manufacturing, routings, time studies, and N/C programs. This role will review new releases for design and manufacturing and support with recommendations for new equipment and tooling. The Senior Manufacturing Engineer will provide shop support to aid in improving the coordination and collaboration between Engineering and Operations departments.

YOUR IMPACT:  

These duties are not meant to be all-inclusive and other duties may be assigned.

  • Ensure all manufacturing activities comply with safety and environmental regulations.

  • Promote a culture of safety and continuous improvement within the organization.

  • Responsible for completion of a project or parts of multiple projects of complexity on time and utilize lean/six sigma principles and methodologies in making process improvements.

  • Performs complex engineering calculations, investigations, and prepares delivery of plans, designs, computation methods and/or reporting.

  • Analyze production metrics to identify trends, bottlenecks, and improvement opportunities.

  • Prepare and present reports on key performance indicators (KPIs) to leadership.

  • Determine appropriate assembly fixturing that are complex in nature.

  • Review and select required special tooling and equipment.

  • Identify and implement process enhancements to improve throughput, reduce waste, and increase cost efficiency.

  • Collaborate with Production team and Operations/Engineering teams.

  • Develop and support recommendations for new equipment and tooling.

  • Train operators and junior engineers on processes, tools, and best practices.

  • Act as a mentor, fostering the development of team members.

  • Provide technical expertise to troubleshoot and resolve production issues.

  • Develop and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) and work instructions for manufacturing processes.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:   

  • Bachelor’s degree in Operations, Engineering or related field.

  • Five (5) or more years of experience.

Key Competencies:  

  • Strong knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma principles.

  • Proficiency in CAD, CAM, or other manufacturing software tools.

  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.

  • Effective communication and cross-functional collaboration abilities.

  • Strong project management and organizational skills.

Pay Range:

$82,000.00 - $132,800.00

The above pay range reflects the minimum and maximum target pay for the position across all U.S. locations. Within this range, individual pay is determined by various factors, including the scope and responsibilities of the role, the candidate's experience, education and skills, as well as the equity of pay among team members in similar positions.
