Reporting to the Senior Facilities Manager of Projects and Compliance, this role serves as a primary point of contact for project management services. The Project Manager is responsible for delivering high-quality facility services in alignment with standard account processes, policies, and programs. Key objectives include ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal regulations across various spaces, including manufacturing plants, hangars, warehouses, and mixed office environments. The role spans the entire project lifecycle, from initial fit-outs and renovations through the planning, design, and construction phases, ensuring all goals are met within specific timeframes and funding parameters.
Primary Responsibilities A significant portion of this role involves coordinating with proponent groups and building committees to facilitate rational facility planning, budgeting, and scheduling. This includes preparing requests for proposals (RFPs) and conducting necessary meetings to hire architectural and construction management services. The Project Manager is tasked with preparing, submitting, and managing capitalized expenditure budgets while tracking variances to ensure smooth recovery processes. In partnership with workplace resources, they ensure that build-outs and expansions are organized to limit business disruption. Additional duties include monitoring all phases of construction to ensure adherence to contract and procurement requirements, maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction, and supporting Health & Safety (H&S) program initiatives.
Additional Professional Duties Beyond project execution, the Project Manager prepares detailed project reports and controls expenditures according to budget allocations. They act as a technical expert for the RFI/CFT process, creating specifications and scope of work statements. The role provides essential counsel to workplace leadership and related functions such as finance, HR, security, and procurement. They are also responsible for managing initiatives to improve service delivery regarding both cost and quality, coordinating moves into new facilities, and maintaining effective communication with consultants and internal customers. The ability to multi-task across various projects and events simultaneously is a critical component of daily operations.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities The ideal candidate will possess an undergraduate degree in a related field such as Engineering, Architecture, or Construction Management; however, a degree in another field combined with relevant experience is acceptable. Required experience includes at least two years of project management within corporate real estate or facilities, preferably in a complex production environment. Candidates should demonstrate a strong ability to manage budgets subject to external demands and show progressive experience in leadership roles with the ability to motivate teams and influence senior leadership. Technical proficiency is required in OSHA, ISO, NFPA, ANSI, and ADA standards, as well as general knowledge of FAA, EASA, and ICAO standards. Candidates must be proficient in business applications like Microsoft Office or Google G-Suite and CMMS tools like Corrigo.

The Project Manager must be a diplomatic and flexible professional capable of creating alignment in a matrix environment. Decision-making responsibilities include choosing vendors through the Airbus process and making final recommendations for real estate projects and capital expenditures. This involves justifying costs to local leadership and international Capex committees. Professional designations such as PMP, CPAM, or certifications through BOMI or IFMA are strongly preferred. This position requires up to 25% domestic travel and involves management of a small, single-function team with expense and revenue responsibilities under $1 million.
