Lockheed Martin Space is seeking a Summer 2026 Cybersecurity Intern. In this role, you will learn the fundamentals of the Risk Management Framework (RMF) and support the Information System Security Manager (ISSM) and Information System Security Officers (ISSOs) in daily cybersecurity tasks. The successful candidate will have experience and/or knowledge of how to document, assess, and validate fundamental cybersecurity controls, the ability to effectively communicate (written and verbal), and a strong desire to learn and meaningfully engage in assigned working tasks. The candidate must have the Comp TIA Security+ Certificate, and have fundamental understanding of cyber threats and cybersecurity. Must be a US Citizen; this position will require a government security clearance. This position is located at a facility that requires special access. This is an onsite position located at the Lockheed Martin Valley Forge, PA campus.

Basic Qualifications

- Pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or Information Technology, or related from an accredited college.
- Must have a current Comp TIA Security+ Certificate
- Fundamental understanding of cyber threats
- Fundamental understanding of cybersecurity fundamentals such as firewalls, encryption, and malware detection, or related
- Must be a US Citizen; this position will require a government security clearance. This position is located at a facility that requires special access.

Desired skills

- Fundamental understanding of cyber attacks, and vulnerabilities.
- Fundamental understanding of system security architecture and design principles.
- Fundamental understanding of risk management.
- Experience in system configuration, hardening, security analysis, and vulnerability management.
- Experience utilizing cybersecurity tools and solutions to assess and validate cybersecurity compliance.
