We are looking for a Program and Product Structure Transformation Manager to drive a company-wide initiative reshaping our product and program data landscape. This role offers a unique opportunity to define the future of Ford's product and program data. The ideal candidate will possess deep knowledge of product and program structures, strong analytical abilities, proven data transformation experience, and a solid understanding of data management tools. Responsibilities include analyzing the current data landscape, defining foundational elements, mapping data to a future state, developing translation logic, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to execute data transformation at scale.
What you'll do...
- Current State Analysis: Analyze existing product and program structures.
- Decompose Structures: Break down structures into foundational data objects and elements (e.g., entities, business objects, relationships, data fields).
- Identify Value: Determine value-added vs. non-value-added entities.
- Future State Mapping: Understand the desired future product and program structure by collaborating with cross-functional teams.
- Elemental Datasets (Future): Understand decomposed elemental datasets for the future state.
- Map Elements: Map current state elements to future state elements.
- Develop Transmission Logic: Develop transformation logic and translate them into a "programmatic accelerator."
- Data Translation: Translate current state datasets into future state datasets at scale using accelerators
You'll have...
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, business, or a related field.
- Min of 10-15 years of experience with transmission programs.
- Data Understanding: Ability to understand different data elements and data architectures.
- Data Strategy: Experience with data strategy and transformational frameworks.
- Logical Structures: Ability to build logical structures and constructs for transformation logics.
- Program Management: Track record of managing large-scale complex programs.
- Industry Experience: Significant experience in an engineering & manufacturing environment.
- Product Development: Strong understanding of product development lifecycles and methodologies.
- Team Leadership: Proven ability to lead and manage cross-functional teams.
- Communication Skills: Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
- Data Modeling: Experience with data modeling and analysis.
- PLM Implementation: Proven experience implementing PLM systems and other enterprise tools at a large organization.
- Digital Transformation: Demonstrated experience leading digital transformation initiatives.
- PLM Systems: Understanding of PLM systems and their integration with product definition processes.
- 3DX Data: Ability to interpret and utilize data generated from 3DX applications.
- Collaboration Tools: Experience with Microsoft Teams, SharePoint, and OneNote.
- Abstract Thinking: Ability to whiteboard and think abstractly about complex topics.
- Software Skills: Strong Excel & PowerPoint skills.

- Automotive Experience: Experience in the automotive industry.
- PMP Certification: PMP certification or equivalent.
- 3DX Software: Working knowledge of 3DX software.
- Change Management: Experience with change & other business management initiatives.
- Collaboration Tools: Experience with Jira, Confluence, and other collaboration tools.
- Programming Skills: Proficiency in programming languages (e.g., Python) for data analysis and automation.
- Data Visualization: Proficiency in dashboarding, data analytics, and visualization tools (e.g. PowerBI, Tableau, etc.)
- Product & BOM: Experience with Product & BOM (EBOM, MBOM & BOP).
- Advanced Degree: Master's degree in a relevant field.
