Designs, develops, and delivers training curricula and lesson plans tailored to both system workflows and service excellence. Conducts training in classroom settings, through interactive workshops, and via hands-on support. Creates and maintains clear, user-friendly training resources such as tip sheets, job aids, and reference guides. Builds staff confidence and competence using clinical systems, ensures each team member feels fully prepared to deliver consistent, high-quality patient service.Job Description
Primary Duties & Responsibilities:
- Trains new and existing staff on processes.
- Provides refresher training and new software update training on education, staff meeting communications, resources, training tools, training tip sheets and shared drive/Box resources.
- Audits billing staff to ensure accuracy, consistency, completion of all billing processes and inclusion of clear/concise notes, to achieve insurance drug therapy authorization. Audits the referral process which includes tracking of quantity and quality measurements.
- Records and documents training process.
- Performs billing role as an Epic software team leader. Shares knowledge of billing software, billing process, insurance rules/policies and navigation of web/internet/on-line resources. Demonstrates proficiency in Pathway/Portals for patient authorization process and/or drug referral authorization. Steers and coordinates Epic ticket issues.
- May be involved with piloting/testing new software and upgrades.
- Develops policies and procedures for billing staff. Logs and tracks IT tickets. Plans, promotes and troubleshoots issues, collaborating with pre-arrival staff, Nurse Coordinators and Infusion Nurses.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
