Senior Associate, Investment Transition

We are seeking to add a Sr. Associate, Investment Transitions to our growing Investment Operations Team. The primary responsibility of this position is to administer the transition of existing investments and client portfolios of newly acquired firms over to Mariner’s approved investment offerings. This role would work closely with the Investments team to develop a tailored transition plan for each acquisition firm and will work with his/her colleagues in Investment Operations & Trading to execute the transition plans.

Responsibilities:
- Responsible for diligence and review of inorganic growth opportunities to understand their current investment management and trading practices
- Collaborate with Investments Team on the full investment transitions lifecycle including:
• Developing tailored transition plan for each acquisition
• Helping acquisitions set strategy and goals for transitioning investment strategies & portfolios
• Tracking acquisition progress over time
- Work with acquisition firms to execute a transition plan which includes new account opening, Mariner investment enrollments, platform integration, and trading & investment training.
- Act as SME on Mariner’s investment offering, portfolio management solutions, and trading practices
- Stay up to date on Mariner’s Investment Platform solutions
Qualifications:
- Undergraduate degree in business-related field required
- 5+ years of wealth management & investment experience, preferably in a large RIA or RIA aggregator
- Deep understanding of financial markets across multiple asset classes: equities, mutual funds, bonds, options, structured notes, alternative investments, etc.
- Experience with platform management and trading software such as Orion, BlackDiamond, Charles River, etc.
- Experience with various custodian platforms. Schwab and Fidelity preferred
- Experience with Salesforce a plus
- CFA and/or advanced degree a plus

Our compensation reflects the cost of talent across multiple US geographic markets. The base pay for this position across all US geographic markets ranges from $85,000/year to $95,000/year. Pay is based on a number of factors including geographic location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Eligibility to participate in an incentive program is subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance. Roles may also be eligible for additional compensation and/or benefits.
