Primary Job Goal: Responsible for making recommendations to the Superintendent on all aspects of systems planning and continuous improvement in all areas of the organization.
Essential Functions
• Bachelor’s degree required. Master's degree preferred. Georgia Educator certificate in Educational Leadership preferred. • Minimum of three (3) years administrative/supervisory experience required. • Prior building level and/or district office administrative experience required. • Knowledge of public education and driving improvement in student achievement.

Essential Functions
- Serve as a key member of the Superintendent’s executive leadership team, acting as a strategic leader and spokesperson on behalf of the Superintendent and Henry County Schools.
- Positively and proactively participate in leadership meetings, representing the Superintendent and district priorities.
- Ensure strong, on-going communications with principals and district leaders.
- Provide supervision and support for assigned department staff.
- Serve as the HCBOE representative to attend, report back, and possibly present to the Board of Commissioners and City Council with a specific focus on land use plans, rezoning, projected residential development, and roadway projects.
- Facilitate the cross-divisional work to prepare for the current, next, and future student enrollment changes, program changes, and facility use with a specific focus on FTE projections, classroom utilization studies, school choice and employee choice.
- Serve as a member of the state reporting team with a focus on documenting all state reporting requirements and mapping the process for each requirement.
- Organize, facilitate, and keep the Superintendent, Executive Cabinet, Board of Education, and respective division heads informed of all pilot studies from inception to completion, external reviews, cross-functional study teams, and proofs of concept from initiation to conclusion, including reporting on impact/improvement at designated intervals after the conclusion.
- Develop a comprehensive system documentation process for all federal, state, and internal processes.
- Facilitate preparation for all external evaluations including Cognia and others.
- Facilitate preparation for Governance Team recognitions and honors (i.e., GSBA Board Achievement, recognitions, presentations, etc.)
- Lead long-range student projection process (i.e., Classroom Utilization Study) and the annual student FTE projections by grade and by school. Report regularly to Superintendent and Executive Cabinet.
- Evaluate and facilitate with other departments the employee choice, school choice, and hardship transfer (i.e., crossing attendance lines) processes.
- Lead a cross-functional Systems Improvement Team that reports quarterly to Executive Cabinet.
- Collaborate with other divisions to support the process for strategic planning, communication materials, and ongoing plan monitoring (once plan is established).
- Participate and contribute to SPLOST planning and on-going monitoring and communication of SPLOST projects.
- Participate in land plan strategy, new school planning, and communication.
- Develop detailed new school Basic Equipment List (BEL) and system processes associated with replacement schools and new school openings.
- Facilitate a comprehensive process documentation and improvement effort
- Facilitate an operational effectiveness analysis and improvement plan ensuring all operations are effectively designed to support student learning and school improvement.

- Chamber of Commerce Partnership, as appropriate
- Basic Equipment Plan/Classroom Utilization
- Classroom/building furniture/equipment Replacement Plan
