This role Reports to Director of Product Design / Program Development.
- PURPOSE
- Manages and coordinates the implementation of changes and new program launches of new and existing products/product lines for JCSNA.
- Evaluates and ensures effective implementation of product changes and new program launches.
- Ensures team meets project milestones and budgets, and completes projects within established timeline.
- DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Supervise, lead, and direct the engineering change and program launch department for all JCSNA products and locations, including Automotive and Commercial projects.
- Carries out management responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws.
- Appraising performance, as well as rewarding and disciplining employees
- Addressing complaints and resolving problems
- Manages the Engineering Change process and personnel in meeting organizational objectives.
- Manages the New Program Launch process and personnel in meeting organizational objectives.
- Ensure timely APQP and audit all launch activities in accordance with the JCS Gate system, including project milestones, timelines, open issues, and tracking documents.
- Ensure effective cross-functional team leadership in achieving change and program launch objectives and milestones.
- Ensure regular program reviews and status reporting with core teams and management via ECO, New Launch, PD, and Gate meetings; also including updates to customers and/or other JCS groups.
- Ensure effective management of product cost and profit, as well as overall program launch budgets in accordance with defined goals and objectives.
- Facilitate cross-functional activities to resolve issues, problems, and concerns that impact program goals and objectives, and assist in prioritizing resources.
- Support RFQ activity in conjunction with Design Engineering, Sales, and New Business Development teams.
- Utilize established QMS procedures, work instructions, and forms; and adopt changes or improvements as necessary.

- MEASUREMENTS/COMPETENCIES
- Language Skills; Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
