Plant Yard Maintenance

What You’ll Do:

Operate front-end loader in yard for cleanup and recycler machinery. Repair and maintain equipment and building operations
including ready-mix plant, recycler and other miscellaneous equipment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: 

• Operate front-end loader in yard for cleanup and recycler machinery. Load dump truck with recycled material.
• Weld and cut on equipment when necessary. 
• Perform regular preventative maintenance on ready-mix plant, conveyor, mixer, loader, and recycler such as oiling, greasing, and changing filters.
• Perform air tests
• De-slug ready-mix plant at end of day.
• Manage recycler with water and recycled material.
• Perform emergency maintenance and troubleshooting when necessary, such as welding, replacing parts, and changing bags on dust collector.
• Perform general cleanup of plant and yard such as shoveling and sweeping.
• Perform all tasks in a safe manner.
• Perform metal fabrication for plant operations.
• Complete all paperwork required by employer. Examples: (Have reports or equipment maintenance schedules, work orders, and employee time sheets.)
• Maintain effective working relationships with company employees, suppliers, and customers. Promote and maintain the professional image and reputation of the company and ensure timely problem resolution and customer satisfaction.
• Other duties as assigned by the plant maintenance manager.

Education and/or Experience

• High School diploma or general education degree (GED).
• Three to five years related experience; and/or
• Training or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Weld and cut with a torch.
• Extensive knowledge and experience in maintenance of equipment, such as air compressors, mixers, vibrators, conveyors, motors, and other miscellaneous equipment.
• Valid Department of Transportation Certified Class A Commercial Driver’s License or acquire one within 45 working days from receipt of this job description.
• Welding Certificate equal to or above AWS D1.1 Minnesota Welding Standards.

Pay: $40.00-$42.45 per hour
