Overview:


We are seeking a detail-oriented Special Projects Billing & Collections Specialist to support a short-term initiative focused on invoice and billing cleanup. This role will play a critical part in ensuring billing accuracy, resolving discrepancies, and improving overall data integrity. The ideal candidate is highly analytical, comfortable working with large datasets, and experienced in audit-like environments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform comprehensive invoice and billing cleanup, including identifying and resolving discrepancies

  • Review historical billing data to ensure accuracy and completeness

  • Partner closely with the Retention and Billing teams to address account-level issues

  • Investigate and reconcile billing inconsistencies across systems

  • Support collections efforts by validating outstanding balances and correcting errors

  • Document findings, processes, and resolutions to improve future billing accuracy

  • Assist with process improvement initiatives related to billing operations

Qualifications:

  • Strong attention to detail with a high level of accuracy

  • Experience working in an audit, reconciliation, or data validation capacity

  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (e.g., pivot tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, data analysis)

  • Comfortable working with large volumes of data and complex datasets

  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills

  • Ability to work cross-functionally with multiple teams

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with billing subscription platforms such as Chargebee or similar systems

  • Familiarity with subscription-based billing models

The salary for this role is: $65.00/hr
