Summary:
GENERAL FUNCTIONS: Director of Cultural Faith Based Empowerment Program is a member of the administrative team responsible for developing strong relationships with houses of worship and other faith-based entities. Person will supervise a mental health specialist and peer mentors who will conduct outreach, engagement, training and support on mental illness for congregations, and leadership. For members in need of services we will provide linkage case management to mental health services. And other needed resources.

Essential Functions:
- Responsible for participating in decision making on an administrative level in conjunction with the Vice President & Director of Mental Health.
- Responsible for maintaining compliance with DHS, Division of Mental Health, CQL, and other government regulations in regard to the program.
- Responsible for assisting with further program development, as well as the development of policies and procedures, program planning, implementation and evaluation of the program.
- Will Build relationships with faith-based communities in the targeted communities and ensure that those organizations are aware of behavioral health resources available.
- Will build relationships with local community mental health centers (CMHC) and other behavioral health providers to help facilitate linkage to MH services for people in the targeted communities.
- Ensure that consumers in the program experience a warm handoff between us and the CMHC or provider.
- Will provide assistance to by pass or navigate waiting lists or other barriers to help consumers access care.
- Will provide information about the Certified Recovery Support Specialist (CRSS) credential to interested individuals.
- Will use relationships with CMHC and service providers to support expansion of services when needed and possible.
- Responsible for designing individual and group training opportunities for staff based on needs of program and identified professional development needs for staff.
- Responsible for maintaining Key Performance Indicators for Successful Transition Program as outlined in the contract with DHS.
- Will gather data and complete quarterly funder reports as required.
- Responsible for providing direct supervision and training to staff responsible for providing services, while maintaining supervision logs for each staff member, carrying out progressive disciplinary action with assigned staff if/when needed.
- Responsible for interviewing, hiring, and coordinating, and/or directly training, new staff.
- Provide supervision to student interns and contract workers, as authorized by the Director of Mental Health
- Will attend weekly supervisions with Director of Mental Health and meetings as requested, participate in committees and client events as needed, and collaborate on marketing and outreach efforts.
- Develop an extensive resource network in key areas needed by clients.
- Develop and implement presentations about the program for the community.
CLINICAL EXPECTATIONS:
- Manage referrals, admissions, and discharges.
- Provide oversight of linkage/referrals for needed service
OVERALL, JOB PERFORMANCE:
- Demonstrate flexibility and adaptability with changes to program needs and schedule as the need arises.
- Flexibility in schedules include evenings and weekends based on the needs of the Houses of Worship and Faith entities.
- Participate in/attend committee meetings as assigned.
- Attend special events for clients and assist as needed.
- Attend internal and/or external training when available and approved (minimum of 15 hours/year). Be prepared to present information from outside training to clinical staff.
- Inform Director of Mental Health of any condition that impacts the safety and wellbeing of clients served. Seek assistance as necessary to mitigate risk.
