Location: This role requires associates to be in-office 3 days per week, fostering collaboration and connectivity, while providing flexibility to support productivity and work-life balance. This approach combines structured office engagement with the autonomy of virtual work, promoting a dynamic and adaptable workplace. Alternate locations may be considered.

The Director Carelon Research is responsible for Carelon Research's project operations for Health Outcomes and Late Phase clinical study activities or related Public Policy Institute (PPI) research projects.

How you will make an impact:

• Leads a team to deliver on assigned goals and supports growth and success of Carelon Research or PPI.
• Oversees project proposal development process and assists with the contract execution process.
• Communicates project status, timelines, results and value messages to internal and external customers or partners.
• Proactively evaluates project performance against plan.
• Reviews financial analyses and business intelligence reports that provide insight into successes and shortfalls.
• Contributes to the design of research studies in concert with our clients or business and Public Affairs partners.
• Guides and mentors team in thinking critically and creatively to identify data assets, research questions, and analytic methodologies to respond to business needs.
• Hires, trains, coaches, counsels, and evaluates performance of direct reports.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Requires a MS, MPH or PharmD in business or a life sciences field; 5+ years of experience in health service research, epidemiology, health policy, economics or related field; 3+ years of progressively responsible experience in leading project teams in Health Outcomes, including 2+ years of experience managing client interactions; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.

Preferred Skills, Capabilities and Experiences:

• PharmD, Ph.D. or MD with background providing Real-World Evidence services with Pharmaceutical or Other Life Sciences Manufacturer clients strongly preferred.

For candidates working in person or virtually in the below location(s), the salary* range for this specific position is $181,632 to $272,448.
