This person will provide day-to-day oversight of the engineering workstreams for HEF and participation in the LEU+ manufacturing plant project at CFFF, reporting to the Senior Director of Product Engineering  .   This position will be a full-time position continuing through initial implementation of HEF regions in first reactors. 

 

1.            Requirements

 

• Strong working knowledge of fuel engineering (hardware/neutronics), safety analysis, and manufacturing.
• Financially fluent and business analysis capable.
• Strong communication skills.
• Demonstrated capability to collaborate and co-operate.
• Demonstrated independence and assertiveness to advocate on NF interests within a large, cross-organizational team.
• Task focused with problem solving mindset for project challenges.

 

2.            Responsibilities

 

• Drive the various workstreams of engineering development for HEF and develop governance and metrics to track success.
• Develop HEF organizational and reporting structure needed to support both short and long term HEF objectives.
• Provide a day-to-day to day NF presence on the LEU+ Manufacturing Plant Project.
• Provide a strong link to the HEF Project Engineering Leader and ensure that the projects remain aligned on production requirements, licensing schedules, customer deliveries and any other BU items that could impact the project scope, and similarly participate in key meetings on the engineering and customer management side where representing the manufacturing plant project interests.
• Support as needed specific HEF marketing initiatives such as input for customer specific value propositions and other plant readiness information for customer-specific HEF offers,  partnering on specific HEF customer capture strategies such as PNNL/TVA
• Represent Westinghouse fuel customers in areas relating to the LEU+ Manufacturing Plant Project including management of customer messaging, development of update presentations, hosting site visits by customers. 
• Participate actively in key project activities to monitor project activities, advocate for the needs of the NF business, identify concerns and issues, partner with project team to ensure that issues are identified and appropriately addressed.
• Ensure that key NF leaders are provided with all significant documents and reports, provided access to participate in key progress meetings and major issue meetings, routinely briefed on project status and issues, and advised of any areas of significant concern that are not suitably addressed.
• Brief NF leadership on key developments and matters where the NF Representative provided important consent or input or objections on behalf of NF.
