Position Purpose:

Key Responsibilities
The primary customers are clients, patients and team members and the mission is to build long term relationships with client institutions and team members. The incumbent shall be responsible for providing therapy services including assessment, treatment planning, and therapeutic interventions consistent with the professional practice act and ethical standard approximately 75% of the time. In addition the incumbent shall supervise staff and the daily operations of assigned area(s). The incumbent shall provide assistance to the Clinical Coordinator on assigned tasks. The incumbent shall also be accountable for and contribute to program development, quality improvement, problem solving, and productivity enhancement in a flexible team fashion.
Operations/Leadership Area
· Participates in continuing education/professional development activities.
· Communicates and demonstrates a professional image/attitude for patients, families, clients, coworkers, and others.
· Adheres to policies and practices of applicable professional organizations, regulatory bodies, and the organization.
· Supervises the student programs, as requested.
· Contributes to client relations and marketing activities.
· Maintains competency, licenses/certifications, and memberships in applicable professional organizations.
· Assists the Clinical Coordinator by supervising the daily operations of the therapy program in assigned area(s).
· Contributes to development of improved efficiency and productivity of therapy program.
Clinical Area
· Conducts initial patient assessment.
· Develops individualized treatment plans.
· Provides appropriate therapeutic interventions.
· Evaluates patient response to treatment.
· Documents the course of patient care including progress made and continuing need for treatment.
· Provides patient and family education on tasks and resources that will assist with continued functional independence.
Quality Management Area
· Assists Clinical Coordinator in quality management and process improvement activities.
· Participates in team meetings.
· Functions as a resource for and provides team members with in-servicing on therapy related knowledge and skill areas.
· Performs internal audits for compliance with professional organizations and regulatory agencies.
· Contributes to the delivery of high quality, cost effective care.
